Adobe CS4

Adobe CS4 is the latest version of Creative Suite which is a bundle of applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat 9. Adobe CS 4 is available in many different versions including Master Collection, Design Premium Design Standard, Web Premium, Web Standard and Production Premium. The basic version is the Design Standard, which has minimum system requirements in order to install the program.

System
1. Adobe CS4 requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate or Enterprise editions. Adobe CS4 can also be installed on a Apple PC running Mac OS X version 10.4.1 or later.
Processor and RAM
2. Adobe CS4 will require a minimum 1.8 GHz processor. A 2 GHz or faster processor is recommended for better performance. Adobe CS4 also requires a minimum of 512 megabytes of RAM to be installed on a system. While this is adequate, increasing to 1 gigabyte or greater will provide a better user experience.
Disk Space
3. The amount of disk space needed can vary from system to system. Installing Adobe CS4 on a Windows XP or Vista system will require at least 9 gigabytes of free space. Installing on an Apple OS X system will require at least 10 gigabytes of available disk space. Additional disk space might be required for temporary files during installation.
DVD Drive
4. The Adobe CS4 program comes on a DVD. As a result, a DVD-ROM or DVD/RW drive will be required to install the program. A DVD drive has become a standard component on new computers, so this should not be a problem.
Video Card
5. A video or graphics card is required for the program with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 for the display. A video or graphics card also needs to be a minimum of 16 bit. Windows XP and Vista use 32 bit graphics, so this should not be a problem for newer computer systems.
Internet
6. A connection to the Internet is required for certain online services and updates that are made available for the program. Some features that are used with Adobe CS4 might be hosted online, which will require an Internet connection to access.
